The core of Aqabah Karate's Kids Program is respect and discipline, two concepts that are often overlooked in today's society. During their training, children learn key elements that will aid in their development in becoming young, intelligent, productive adults such as confidence, respect, discipline, and leadership skills.
Students are expected to conform with the rules of the school and are encouraged and motivated throughout their training. Quite often, this discipline will have a profound impact on the child's life and carry over into other realms such as improved school work and the ability to cope better with the demands of everyday life.
Tang Soo Do encourages courtesy, patience, loyalty, honestly, and self-control which are values that you typically do not find in most sports or activities. Values that children learn through martial arts give them concrete, practical guidelines for behavior in his or her life.
In addition, martial arts training will also ehance their coordination, balance, and gross motore skills as well as help alleviate the fear most chidren have about handling themselves if they are physically confronted by someone.
Aqabah Karate has two programs for children:
Tiny Tiger Program for ages 5 to 7
Young Warriors Program for ages 8 to 12.
Aqabah Karate offers separate classs for boys and girls in both our programs.
